Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - School Setting Location: Poway, CA Job Type: Contract Pay: $30 - $45 an hour Job Summary: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based therapy team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide support and therapeutic interventions to students with various needs, helping them achieve their educational and developmental goals. This role is vital in promoting student independence and participation in school activities. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and occupational therapy treatment plans for students.
Provide direct support in therapeutic activities that enhance students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to create an inclusive environment for students.
Monitor and document student progress, providing updates to the Occupational Therapist and educational team.
Qualifications: Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
State licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
