*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and improve their overall physical function. Your expertise in patient care and knowledge of anatomy will be essential as you assist in the rehabilitation process across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and acute care environments.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
* Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.
* Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies to promote recovery.
* Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in medical records.
* Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.
* Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment.
*Requirements*
* Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
* Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
