Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract To Hire Position Overview We're currently hiring a passionate and licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide virtual support to K-12 students across Texas. This fully remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while delivering essential, personalized therapy services to help students develop skills for independence and academic success. As part of our dynamic teletherapy team, you'll work closely with families, school staff, and service providers to create meaningful, student-centered interventions through a secure online platform. Key Responsibilities Provide engaging and individualized occupational therapy services to students based on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop, implement, and update IEP goals and treatment plans in compliance with Texas state guidelines and student data . Adapt and modify therapy strategies to meet the unique functional, motor, and sensory needs of each student. Collaborate with special education teams, general education teachers, and families to provide coordinated services and support . Monitor student progress regularly and adjust intervention plans to maximize progress toward goals. Participate in virtual IEP meetings, offering clinical insight and recommendations . Maintain accurate service delivery records and documentation in adherence to Texas education standards and district policies . Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Active and valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Texas. Preferred two years of pediatric or school-based Occupational Therapy experience. Proficient in developing treatment plans, progress reports, and complying with special education procedures. Technologically proficient and comfortable using remote therapy platforms and digital tools . Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills. Self-directed and able to effectively manage a caseload remotely . Technology Requirements Reliable high-speed internet connection. Laptop or desktop computer (tablets and Chromebooks are not supported). Ability to complete a brief tech screening to assure platform compatibility.
