Founded in 1938, Wilcox Medical Center is a not-for-profit medical center dedicated to providing the Kauai community with accessible quality health care. The largest medical center on Kauai, it is a state-of-the-art acute care facility with a full suite of services offering 30 specialties and programs, including cardiology, emergency, family practice, gastroenterology, health management, internal medicine, neurology, OB-GYN, oncology, orthopedics, pediatrics and urology. Its 18-bed emergency department serves as the islands Primary Stroke Center. The medical center also has four birthing suites, seven intensive care beds and 20 same-day surgery beds. Wilcox is the first American College of Surgeons-verified Level III Trauma Center in the state of Hawaii. The Occupational Therapy teams committed professionals deliver a number of integrated work-related therapy, care and rehabilitation programs designed to build our patients confidence while helping them reach full potential in mobility, communication and daily living skills. Services include customized treatment programs, performance skills assessments and treatments, adaptive equipment recommendations and usage training and guidance to family members and caregivers.

As the Occupational Therapist, you will help to bring valuable rehabilitative services and relief to patients suffering from work-related injuries. In this role, you will provide direct occupational therapy services and consultation across the full continuum of care. We are looking for someone sensitive and experienced, with excellent communication and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawaiis people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawaii Occupational Therapy certification. Current American Heart Association Heart Saver AED CPR card. NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) Occupational Therapy certification.

Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year general occupational therapy experience. Previous experience with Pediatric or Adult population.
