Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients across hospital and outpatient settings. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, working with patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties: Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practice. Provide direct therapy services in acute care, inpatient, and outpatient environments. Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document outcomes. Conduct modified barium swallow studies (if trained) and work closely with radiology. Provide patient and family education, support, and counseling. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and other care team members. Administrative & Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system. Complete initial evaluations, daily progress notes, discharge summaries, and insurance reports. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives. Outpatient Focused Duties: Schedule and manage follow-up visits for continuity of care. Provide therapy for pediatric and/or adult clients with developmental, neurological, or acquired disorders. Engage in caregiver training and develop home programs to support therapy goals. Hospital Focused Duties: Respond to inpatient consults, including those in ICU, med-surg, and post-operative units. Manage time-sensitive swallowing evaluations and communication needs in acute care. Participate in discharge planning and make referrals for continued therapy post-discharge. Skills & Competencies: Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with EMR systems and documentation best practices. Knowledge of dysphagia management, AAC, and cognitive-communication treatment preferred. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state license (or eligible for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical or clinical setting preferred. Experience with both adult and pediatric populations a plus. CPR/BLS certification.
