The Student Office Assistant serves as a key point of contact in the Respiratory Therapy Department, providing administrative support to students, faculty, and staff. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist visitors, students, and faculty
Answer phone calls and respond to department emails
Assist students in scheduling appointments
Support department chair, program director, enrollment manager, and faculty with administrative tasks
Perform general office duties (copying, filing, data entry, etc.)
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Must be a current Weber State University student
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service and organizational abilities
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar)
Willingness to learn new technology and take initiative
Preferred Qualifications
Eligible for Work-Study
Willing to contribute beyond basic responsibilities
Friendly, punctual, and self-motivated
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
