A licensed Audiologist is a license healthcare professional specializing in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders related to hearing and balance. the role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, from clinical evaluations to patient education and device management.
Education - Doctorate of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from an accredited program.
Experience - Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in audiology, with a strong background in diagnostic testing and hearing aid management.
Licensure/Certification - Valid state licensure to practice audiology in Maryland. Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or the American Board of Audiology (preferred). Current BLS certification with American Heart Association.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Proficiency in audiological equipment and software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
