The RT Durable Medical Equipment Service Manager will oversee day to day operations of 9 locations located throughout Indiana with the expectation of some in-state travel required. This unit specializes in Respiratory Therapy Durable Medical Equipment and the RT DME Services Manager will oversee our Sleep Apnea Education Centers and NIV Team. This leader will lead and supervise approximately 8-10 Direct Reports and will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the daily functions and workflow of assigned departmental personnel for the team. This position provides statewide leadership and direct supervision for home care respiratory durable medical equipment product lines. Responsible for the planning and development of comprehensive programs to promote the successful discharge and ongoing management of patients requiring homecare RT/DME services across the Sleep/RTDME service line. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing and coordinating resource management, discharge planning, care facilitation, policy and procedure development, regulatory oversight, productivity management, and assisting with process improvement initiatives
Requires an A.S. degree from a CoARC accredited respiratory care program.

  • Requires Indiana certification as a RCP. RCP;Basic Life Support certification required within 1 month of hire or upon completion of department orientation. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to Patient Care Policy #PC 161.;?
  • Requires NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist Requires background in all aspects of respiratory care including current technical and clinical applications in a home care setting.
  • Knowledge of homecare related regulatory guidelines is required.
  • Ability to learn financial management skills and applications.
  • Excellent pulmonary knowledge, strong leadership skills, ability to collect and analyze patient and productivity data.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with physicians and referrals.
  • Must be able to initiate and monitor process improvement plans.
  • Clinical & Quality and Regulatory background Preferred
