Position Summary:

The Pulmonary Function Technician is responsible for evaluating patients with respiratory conditions by conducting diagnostic tests, including lung capacity measurements and blood gas analysis. Working closely with physicians, the technician helps develop and implement treatment plans, delivers prescribed therapies, and educates patients on medication use and respiratory care techniques. The role includes monitoring patient responses, maintaining and calibrating respiratory equipment, managing supplies, and responding to emergency situations. Strong critical thinking, independent judgment, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential to ensure high-quality patient care and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of education: Certificate, Associate's degree
• Graduate of Program in Discipline, required or validated by current licensure
• (BLS) Basic Life Support required
• (ACLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support preferred
• (PALS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred
• (NRP) Neonatal Resuscitation Program preferred
