What You'll Do
Assist in implementing therapeutic activities and interventions outlined in the student's IEP or 504 Plan
Receive regular supervision with licensed Occupational Therapist
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to support fine motor, visual-motor, and sensory integration skills
Monitor student progress and provide input to the supervising OT regarding performance and outcomes
Adapt classroom materials and environments to promote student access and participation
Document student performance, session notes, and relevant data in accordance with district and legal guidelines
Collaborate with teachers, OTs, and other school staff to support carryover of strategies in the classroom
Maintain equipment and therapy materials; assist with ordering and organization as needed
Facilitating motor based assessments in collaboration with licensed Occupational Therapist
Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and professional standard
Performs other related duties as assigned
Compensation & Schedule
Hourly/Non-Exempt
$28.74 - $36.41 per hour (DOE)
Part-Time; 25 Hours per week
Benefits
Approximately 12* weeks of school breaks
Please note hourly positions are not annualized and compensation is based on actual hours worked.
Up to 48 hours of annual sick time, accrued monthly
Participation in the Colorado PERA retirement program (required in lieu of social security as a public employee)

Annual Calendar and Start Date
198 work days per academic year
Includes 3 days of new staff orientation. Following years will include 195 workdays.
Start Date: July 9th, 2025
*Prorated if employment begins after July 1, 2025.
Qualifications
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
Bilingual (Spanish/English)
1+ years of experience as a school-based Occupational Therapist Assistant
Special Education experience in a Title I setting or with English Language Learners
Familiarity with special education laws (e.g., IDEA, Section 504) and terminology
Essential Job Functions
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Lift up to 25 pounds at times
Safely apply CPI techniques when necessary
Access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed
Abide by all policies and procedures of Atlas
