A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the upcoming school year in the Rockville, MD area, serving K-12 students. This contract role offers an opportunity to support diverse learners in developing effective communication skills within an educational setting.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- New graduates with Certificate of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status will also be considered
- Experience working with children and adolescents across the K-12 spectrum is desirable
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills tailored to school-age populations
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and school-based documentation protocols
Location:
- Rockville, Maryland, with openings extending to the Laurel, MD area
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students requiring support
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEP goals
- Conduct evaluations and monitor student progress
- Utilize evidence-based practices to promote language, articulation, fluency, voice, and social communication development
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
Position Details:
