Providing specialized occupational therapy services in a high school setting, this contract position offers the opportunity to support students across grades 9 through 12. The role is based onsite in Arlington Heights, IL, serving approximately 44 students engaged in both direct instruction and general education courses during the 2025-2026 school year (8/12-5/22). This position is ideal for occupational therapists experienced in healthcare and school settings who are licensed to practice in Illinois.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to high school students, focusing on enhancing participation in educational activities.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 44 students, primarily within the 9th to 12th-grade range.
- Provide direct intervention totaling approximately 615 minutes per month, supplemented by an additional 225 minutes per semester.
- Conduct consultation services amounting to 640 minutes per month and 720 minutes per semester across all programming.
- Collaborate with educators and other school staff to support students needs in classroom and general education environments.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy (OT) license required.
- Experience in both healthcare and educational settings preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
