School-Based Occupational Therapist Full-Time Opportunity Aurora, IL

A school district in Aurora, Illinois is actively hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join its special services team. This is a rewarding opportunity to help students achieve greater independence and success in their academic and daily routines through skilled, school-based occupational therapy.

Position Summary:
The Occupational Therapist will assess student needs, develop and implement individualized intervention plans, and work collaboratively with educators and families to support functional goals within the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and write reports

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEPs

• Provide direct and consultative OT services to students

• Address fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, and daily living skill needs

• Maintain detailed documentation on student progress and service delivery

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team

• Educate and support school staff in implementing classroom accommodations

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active Illinois Occupational Therapist License

• Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Passion for working with diverse student populations
