School Recreational Therapist -Urgent Hire

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to join our educational team. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that support students' physical, emotional, and social well-being through recreational therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs tailored to students needs and abilities.

+ Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and healthcare professionals to support students IEPs and overall development.

+ Provide skilled recreational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and school guidelines.

+ Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed.

+ Promote inclusion, engagement, and positive social interactions through structured activities.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) as required by state or school district.

+ At least one year of current experience in Recreation Therapy (school-based experience preferred).

+ Water Safety and Health Fitness Instructor certifications preferred.

+ Current CPR certification (if applicable).

+ TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable).

+ Current Health Certificate (as required by contract or state regulation).

+ Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Must be at least 18 years of age.
