How you'll contribute
Reports to: Respiratory Market Director
Assists respiratory therapists with preparing for and providing patient care.
Delivers routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.

Qualifications and requirements:
Licenses: Certified Respiratory Care Therapist
Certifications: (BLS) Basic Life Support required one month from hire/transfer date; (ACLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support six months from hire/transfer date; (PALS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support six months from hire/transfer date
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
Skilled in the application of policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
