A contract Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is available at an elementary school campus in Hazleton, PA, covering a leave from September 10, 2025, through January 15, 2026. This role requires a dedicated professional to provide speech-language services five days per week, working either 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a half-hour unpaid lunch break.
The caseload includes approximately 55 students in grades K-6 at the elementary building and 10 ninth-grade students at the high school building, all on the same campus. Students served present with a variety of needs including Autism, Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Intellectual Disabilities (ID).
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy services to a diverse student population.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Adapt teletherapy methods as needed to ensure continuous student support.
Qualifications:
- CCC-SLP credential with a license to practice in Pennsylvania.
- Experience working with pediatric populations in educational or healthcare settings.
- Ability to manage a caseload involving various communication disorders.
- Strong skills in teletherapy delivery and documentation.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred or newly licensed applicants considered.
