This opportunity is for a part-time Physical Therapist to provide specialized therapy services in a K-12 school setting in Carmel, IN, for the duration of a full semester. The role involves working two days per week to support students' physical mobility and functional needs, enabling greater access to their educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver physical therapy services to students across preschool to high school with diverse disabilities
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Conduct thorough evaluations and re-evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and compose detailed reports
- Provide direct therapy and consultative support aligned with IEP requirements
- Assist in devising strategies and accommodations to enhance students' participation in school activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and actively participate in IEP meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana Physical Therapist license
- Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution
- Experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy settings is preferred; however, recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites as needed
