SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Penn State Health has partnered with the Catherine Hershey School for Early Learning (CHS) to provide Occupational Therapy Services at the schools located in Hershey and Harrisburg, PA. This position will be assigned to CHS and provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with the CHS staff to advance Occupational Therapy services and programming at these and possibly future schools. CHS creates high-quality learning communities that nurture, educate, and empower children and families in social and financial need to lead fulfilling and productive lives. This unique setting provides services for enrolled children and blends the medical and educational models of care to provide the students with the foundations for lifelong success. The preferred candidate will have minimum of 5-years of experience in pediatrics with extensive experience in 0-5 year population including but not limited to early intervention services and pre-school programs. Additionally, the preferred candidate will have strong interpersonal & collaborative skills, function well in a highly dynamic atmosphere and demonstrate flexibility and adjust well to change.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited ACOTE program and completion of clinical rotations required.
  • Currently licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist by the state of employment. If working under a temporary license, Occupational Therapy license in the state of employment must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
