Patient Care Coordinator - Urology

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator for our Urology department. In this role, you will translate for Korean-speaking patients, manage patient phone calls and online inquiries, schedule appointments, and handle payment collections. You will also enter orders for MRI and DME authorizations, review triage buckets, contact patients as required, maintain patient records, prepare charts for patient visits, triage phone calls, and update electronic medical records using EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Update electronic medical record using EPIC.

• Customer service skills.

• Bilingual in Korean (must-have).
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Knowledge of insurance verification is a plus.
• Experience with athena system.
• Understanding of insurance processes.

The work environment is supportive and collaborative, with physicians known for their easy-going nature. The role offers opportunities for internal promotion, reflecting a culture of growth and advancement. The position is part of a team with 2-3 Patient Service Representatives and 2 providers, ensuring manageable patient flow. The shift is Monday to Friday, with hours from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Thursday, and 8 AM to 3 PM on Fridays. The main locations are Cliffside Park, NJ, and Englewood, NJ, with floating as needed for coverage. The office requires bilingual support due to the volume of Korean-speaking patients.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $22.00/hr.
