We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Disability Examiner in Audiology to join our growing team! Responsibilities include evaluating and conducting exams for Medical Disability claims tinnitus and hearing loss for Veteran’s. This role requires traveling on-site, within an assigned region, to fixed facility and mobile unit locations to conduct exams. When not traveling, completing ACE and internal Medical Opinion only requests as required by applicable contracts.

Schedule: This position will be on the road traveling one week and then working from home the next week. You will leave on Sunday for your assignment and then work Monday - Friday and travel home Friday night.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and conducting exams for Medical Disability claims tinnitus and hearing loss for Veteran’s
  • Traveling on-site, within an assigned region, to fixed facility and mobile unit locations to conduct exams
  • Completing ACE and internal Medical Opinion only requests as required by applicable contracts

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed Masters or Doctorate degree from a college or university accredited by either ACAE, CAA of ASHA
  • Current and unrestricted state license or the ability to obtain licensure in the state where the employee’s work will be performed
    • This may include a compact license (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) ensuring compliance with that state’s existing Medical Practice Act
  • Accredited Board Certification/Board Eligible (BC/BE)
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Available to travel 50-75% or more for monthly travel assignments
  • Ability to perform detailed work with a high degree of accuracy as well as the ability to demonstrate organizational skills and multi-tasking
  • Flexible workspace/ environment to include working in mobile clinics, pop up events, and homebound patients
  • Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work remotely when not traveling to complete ACE and IMO exams or other duties as assigned
  • Available to travel 50-75% or more for monthly travel assignments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified VA Compensation and Pension Examiner
  • Experience with VA Compensation and Pension disability evaluations with a knowledge of VA quality and timeliness measures
  • Military and/or veteran healthcare experience

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits re subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
