Position Summary:
The Audiologist I performs audiological diagnosis, case coordination, and treatment for a wide variety of patients, including those who are medically complex. This role also supports research and administrative functions as assigned. Working within a collaborative and family-centered environment, the Audiologist I ensures high-quality, evidence-based care tailored to the needs of pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive audiological evaluations, obtains case histories, and interprets behavioral and physiological test results to develop individualized management and treatment plans.
- Counsels patients and families on test results, communication strategies, hearing technologies, and funding sources; coordinates follow-up care and interdisciplinary communication.
- Supports clinical operations by managing schedules, addressing urgent patient needs, maintaining hearing technology supplies and equipment, and contributing to continuous professional development and knowledge sharing.
Education:
- Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders required
- Doctoral Degree preferred
- Audiology required
- Minimum of 1 year of clinically supervised experience in pediatric audiology required
- Current license in Audiology from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from ASHA or Board Certification from the American Board of Audiology required within 6 months of hire
