Ability to plan organize and lead personnel. Ability to assist with training of assigned personnel, take appropriate actions in all situations under the guidance of the Manager/Director. Serves as a diplomat for Respiratory Therapy at Covenant Health System and directly or indirectly affects change within the respiratory department. He/She will encourage competent care, develop individualized intervention, and enhance respiratory therapy skills. Able to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, family members, and other disciplines. Ability to assess/reassess others for annual evaluations. Responsible for performing a variety of therapeutic, diagnostic Respiratory Care procedures & the Airway Management Program. Responsible for meeting CHS, JCAHO, and OSHA established policies and standards. Coordinates student activities assuring student competency. Minimal supervision required.

- This is an onsite role that will report into the hospital daily, as scheduled
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including weekends
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Work Week:
- 3 days as defined by hiring manager and departmental needs
- 12 HR Shifts 06:30 19:00
- Work Status Available:
- Full Time, Days
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree - Respiratory Care from an AMA approved program
- Upon hire: Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association
- Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association
- 2 or more years of Respiratory Care experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree - Respiratory Care
Bachelors Degree in Nursing
