School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Johnston, Rhode Island

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave for a school serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This onsite contract role begins in October and is expected to last at least 12 weeks, with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:45 AM to 3:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students across K-12 grade levels
• Assess, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support communication development
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports aligned with district requirements
• Participate in meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team supporting student goals

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
• Experience working with a pediatric school-aged population preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while delivering quality care
