A Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, supporting students in grades PreK through 5th at multiple elementary school locations in Hanford, CA. This full-time, in-person contract role runs from August 6th through June 5th, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week.

The SLPA works under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver individualized intervention services tailored to students unique speech-language needs. Responsibilities include assisting in the implementation of therapy programs, administering and scoring assessments, gathering case histories, collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals, and contributing to documentation such as evaluations and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Additionally, the SLPA may transport students to and from testing or therapy sessions and attend meetings related to student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license required
  • Bachelors degree in Speech, Language and Hearing or Communication Disorders
  • Previous experience working within a school environment or as a paraprofessional preferred
  • Training or experience in language and/or articulation therapy preferred
  • Strong communication skills, including active listening and collaborative engagement
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and apply new strategies

Location: Itinerant within multiple elementary school settings in Hanford, CA (locations may vary based on student needs)
