A temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a leave of absence in an elementary school setting, located in Joliet, IL. This contract role runs from August 11 to November 7 and offers a consistent 35-hour workweek from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. The position is onsite, providing direct support in a supportive school environment.
Key responsibilities include managing a caseload of approximately 40 students primarily diagnosed with speech impairments, autism, and specific learning disabilities. The role requires collaboration with educators and families to implement individualized treatment plans that support each students communication and learning goals.
Qualifications and experience sought for this position include:
- SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement relevant to school settings
- Experience working with pediatric populations in healthcare or school environments
- Familiarity with teletherapy is beneficial but not required for this onsite role
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred but not mandatory
