A K-12 school located in Springfield, OR, is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide comprehensive speech therapy services for the 2025-2026 school year. This onsite contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with two adjacent schools, delivering high-quality care to students with diverse speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee student assessments and develop individualized goals tailored to each students unique needs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 34 students, providing direct therapy services and regular progress monitoring
- Coordinate and lead Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, ensuring thorough preparation including drafting 7-10 prior reports
- Maintain organized case files, manage scheduling, and communicate effectively with school staff, students, and families
- Serve as a self-sufficient clinician who is proactive in case management and collaboration with educational teams
Qualifications:
- Current Oregon Speech Language Pathologist license with CCC certification or valid SLPA certification for school settings
- Experience working within K-12 educational environments preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
Schedule & Location:
- Position runs from August 25, 2025, to May 22, 2026
- Onsite in Springfield, Oregon
- 30 hours per week
