A K-12 Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the upcoming school year (August through May) in Texico, NM. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide essential support to students across one to two school buildings within a dynamic school district.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure
- Experience serving a K-12 student population
- Ability to manage a caseload ranging from 40 to 60 students
- Familiarity with IEP implementation and collaboration with educational teams
- Comfort working in both direct therapy and indirect hours, including participation in paid team meetings
- Flexibility to provide itinerant services and travel between assigned schools
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to support communication development and educational success for K-12 students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and regulatory standards
- Participate in district-provided training and ongoing professional development opportunities
- Utilize designated therapy spaces efficiently to maximize impact
- Engage in Zoom-based interviews with flexible scheduling options
