Occupational Therapist Role Help Students Build Everyday Skills in Cleveland Schools

Cleveland Municipal School District is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join its team full-time. In this role, youll support K12 students in achieving greater independence and access to learning through targeted therapy and collaboration with educators.

About the Role:
This school-based OT position involves evaluating student needs, developing and delivering individualized interventions, and participating in IEP planning to help students thrive in the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform occupational therapy evaluations for motor and sensory skills

  • Provide therapy in both group and 1:1 settings per IEP goals

  • Support fine motor development, sensory regulation, and adaptive skills

  • Recommend strategies and tools to increase classroom participation

  • Collaborate with special education and general education staff

  • Maintain therapy documentation and contribute to IEP meetings

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Current Ohio OT License

  • ODE Pupil Services Credential (required for school practice)

  • Prior experience in school or pediatric therapy preferred

  • Detail-oriented, communicative, and team-focused mindset

Job Details:

  • Type: Full-time, onsite

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday during school hours

  • Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district needs)
