This strategic leader will partner with various leaders throughout hospitals in our southern region to ensure sites are successfully maintaining daily operations and bringing out the best outcomes for patients and caregivers.
The Senior Manager - Respiratory Therapy is responsible for strategic planning, quality and professional practice of regional Respiratory Therapy and Cardiopulmonary services. This leader directs and coordinates activities of supervisory and educational personnel. With a focus on standardization, quality, safety and improvement, this leader will oversee the Respiratory Therapy Managers in Cleveland Clinic's Southern Market, including Akron, Medina, Mercy, Union and Lodi hospitals.
A caregiver in this role works 8 a.m. -- 5 p.m., with additional flexibility required for travel to on-site locations and on-call needs.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and state law requirements.
Be responsible for orientation, evaluations and terminations for direct reports.
Be responsible for the oversight of these activities for indirect reports.
Implement Enterprise standardization by researching and evaluating new technological developments and advances in clinical practice and promote cost-effective policies and procedures while assuring optimal delivery of services.
Develop operating and capital budgets and action plans that address financial/productivity variances.
Assist with the development of regional planning and policies, procedures, and protocols.
Balance regional staffing according to patient census and volume, in order to promote optimal staffing in a cost-effective manner.
Organize and participate in quality, engagement, patient, physician and other customer satisfaction processes.
Develop action plans to improve metrics/outcomes associated with Enterprise Business Review processes.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy, an allied health field or a related field
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the NBRC
Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) license
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Eight years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist in critical care, medical/surgical, emergency department, cardiology or neurology

Physical Requirements:
