Day (United States of America) Job Summary: Reports to Director of Professional Services and is responsible for daily operations of the IRH Occupational Therapy Team. In conjunction with Director of Professional Services/IRH Lead PT/IRH Lead SLP/IRH Lead Tech, this position with help to plan, implement and monitor rules, regulations and requirements for IRH. This position will provide clinical direction to OTs and serve as a resource to staff, interns, patients and community. This position will assist Director in identifying performance improvement initiatives and educational needs.Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Performs initial and discharge evaluations, completes documentation, and bills accordingly. Completes specific documentation required by funding sources accurately, including admission status, goals and at discharge, the functional status at that time.
Develops treatment plan and performs patient treatment based on treatment plan and funding source and regulatory requirements. Accurately documents, including need for skilled services, pt progression, pt response and bills for services provided. Provides education as appropriate.
Participates in discharge planning by making recommendations for services, completing assessments for needed equipment and completing all documentation needed for funding source approval. Provides education to patient and family regarding mobility assistance required after discharge.
Serves as CI/mentor for interns as needed: Provides direct supervision/mentorship, taking direct responsibility for the patient & care provided. Provides daily feedback to interns regarding treatment interventions & directs the learning experience. Critiques/co-signs documentation daily to be sure it meets regulatory requirements & funding source specifications. Completes weekly, midterm and final evaluations for interns & communicates w/ their school regarding performance.
Participates in hospital and discipline specific skills check: Demonstrates competency through completion of didactic training and testing as well as demonstration of skills specific to their position and skill set as well as skills obtained at RWSH.

Required Minimum Education:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy. Required
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. Preferred
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
BLS certification from American Heart Association. Required
Georgia OT license. Required
Minimum 3 years experience in Rehab, SNF, Acute Care. Required
Minimum 5 years experience in Rehab, SNF, Acute Care. Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:
Basic computer literacy. Required
