Job Description
Summer Pre-K Evaluation Team - Occupational Therapist (up to 1 position)
Location: Pre-K Office
Dates: June 24, 2025 - August 22, 2025
Hours: Monday - Friday from 8:15 a.m. - 2:15 p.m.
Staff will remain on site during these hours
Up to 30 days - days TBD
Note: No work July 4th & August 14th - Holiday (1/2 hour break, hour lunch to be taken during the day)
Location: Pre-K Office
Job Description:
The Occupational Therapist will sit on evaluation teams, complete evaluations and write IEP goals.
Contractual rate of pay, contingent upon funding
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Working knowledge of preschool processes and requirements, early childhood development, RIELDS (RI Early Learning and Development Standards).
Working knowledge of transition, inclusive of inventories, assessments and transition planning
Experience working with and evaluating children with disabilities ages 2-5
Experience with creation of goals IEPs in PowerSchool
Working knowledge of PowerSchool for documentation
Certification Requirements:
Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of RI
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND CURRICULAR LINKAGES:
Complete observations, evaluations and IEP goals as needed.
The team works toward completion of all Pre k evaluations
Documentation of all attempts to contact families and results of that contact
Completion of formalized testing in area of certification and writing corresponding evaluations
Completion of documentation required for eligibility
Participation as a member of a TQP for eligibility and IEP meetings
Weekly submission of timesheets, activity logs, and completed files
Must commit to work all of the days indicated in the posting
Input of all necessary documentation in Skyward and PowerSchool
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Experience with PowerSchool, Skyward, COS, working knowledge in the Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards
