The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for treatment and documentation of inpatients, outpatients, and home health patients. Volume in each setting depends on positions. Physical Therapist Assistants are also responsible for supervising Rehabilitation Aides. Job Requirements: Knowledge of / Skill / Ability to: If performing home visits, must have own automobile in safe, working order. Must have a valid driver's license and have documentation of current vehicle insurance per policy. License/Certification: Must have a valid state license or valid temporary permit as a Physical Therapist Assistant, issued by the Oregon State Physical Therapy Licensing Board. Current BLS certification required through American Heart Association. Education and / or Experience: The PTA must have successfully completed a program culminating with an Associate's degree or higher as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited school. Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance: Works inside. Walking and standing much of the time while on duty. Subject to occasional stress in fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines. Must be capable of providing treatments, some of which will require strength. Aware of proper body mechanics at all times.
