School Speech Therapist

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech therapy services within a K-12 school setting. This full-time position is based in Palacios, TX, and is offered as a contract role for the duration of the school year, starting as soon as possible and concluding at the end of the school year. Responsibilities include: Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs Collaborating with educators, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies and regulatory requirements Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to goal setting and progress evaluations Preferred qualifications: Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Experience working with a pediatric school-aged population, ideally in K-12 settings Ability to manage a caseload efficiently; specific caseload details to be discussed during the interview Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and staff Willingness to supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), as there may be openness to including SLPAs on the team This role offers a structured calendar aligned with the school year, providing clarity in scheduling and responsibilities.
