Requirements Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) School (COTA School) StartDate: 8/25/2025 Available Shifts: 7.5 D Pay Rate: 1489.00 1549.00 AMN Healthcare is partnering with a school district in Buffalo, Minnesota to hire a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work with one of the top districts in the area, providing services to children of all ages. Generally, the COTA will address motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive functions that impact a students academics, selfcare skills, play, and social participation, as well as transitional skills.\nResponsibilities for this role include: \nPartner with the district as a member of a collaborative team to help students achieve their academic goals.Screen and evaluate students referred to Occupational Therapy services. Appropriately collect data and report findings.Provide evidencebased direct and consultative therapy services as required.Maintain accurate documentation and billing per district and state standards. The COTA will provide training and resources for teachers and staff on effective strategies to improve participation and progress toward educational goals.Participate in a collaborative team and maintain clear communication with teachers, district staff, and families regarding student performance. Required Qualifications Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, School Completion of an associates degree or higher education Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Minnesota Completion of the Substantial Equivalency Assessment (SEA) Preferred Qualifications Clear, articulate communication skills Ability to explain results to a varied audience Candidates with previous school experience a plus!
