First Step Services, LLC. staff is passionate about helping individuals seeking alcohol and drug use counseling. To assist in the journey to recovery, our team of masters-level licensed and certified substance abuse counselors provides a variety of outpatient services. Programs at First Step include Substance Use Disorder Intensive Outpatient treatment, early intervention counseling and education groups, individual, group, and family counseling to support people returning home from inpatient, residential, and hospital programs. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator will support the existing administrative team as well as serve as the key contact person for the Center providing miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties.

Location: NC 211 East Six Forks Road, Ste 117, Raleigh, NC 27609

Schedule: Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Phone and email correspondence from potential clients or referral sources and routing them to the appropriate team
  • Assisting in receiving or scheduling deliveries and services
  • Scheduling new clients and processing payments
  • Managing clinician schedules
  • Assisting the administrative team in other various duties

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of administrative and/or customer service experience
  • Intermediate level of knowledge and experience with Office 365 Suite
  • Reliable transportation for travel between office locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Office experience

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with all referral sources.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to de-escalate dissatisfied patients and offer patient assistance and support as needed.
  • Comfortable creating and working in databases
  • Professional phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve
  • Autonomous work ethic (being able to perform duties without direct supervision)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 to $27.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
