Type: Permanent Hire
Schedule: This is a full time position and follows a 9 month school schedule
Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour based on experience
Travel Travel between multiple schools can be required (paid for both mileage and drive time)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support students in a school setting. The SLP or SLPA will provide therapy services to children with speech, language,munication, and related disorders. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping students achieve theirmunication goals andmitted to creating a positive, supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities for Speech - Language Pathologist Assistant:
Assist with Therapy: Provide therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed SLP, following established treatment plans and IEP goals.
Data Collection: Collect and document student performance data during therapy sessions and report progress to the supervising SLP.
Support Services: Assist in the preparation of materials, scheduling of therapy sessions, and coordination of group activities.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support the implementation of studentmunication goals.
Administrative Duties: maintain student records, therapy logs, and other required documentation as directed by the supervising SLP.
Qualifications for the Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant:
Certificate of Speech-Language Pathology Assisting from an accredited program.
Current state licensure/certification as an SLPA.
Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
