Travel Respiratory Therapist - $2,400 per week

Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 07/07/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: 3x12 Nights | Every other weekend Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week Position Overview: We're seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) to join a busy inpatient team. Candidates must have strong adult inpatient and ER/ICU experience. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required-training will be provided. This role includes respiratory care coverage across multiple inpatient areas including ICU and ED, with no critical care transport responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Administer respiratory therapies and treatments Manage ventilators (up to 8-9 ICU vents at a time) Draw and run ABGs Perform EKGs (inpatient and outpatient) Assist with intubations Provide support in inpatient, ED, and procedural settings (eg, bronchs) Cover EKGs and RT assignments within assigned areas Department Info: Total Beds: 127 RT Coverage: 5 during the day, 4 at night Average Treatments per RT: 40-70 per shift Scheduling: Set schedules, every other weekend required Holiday Coverage: Work holidays that fall on scheduled shifts (Christmas, New Year's only) Floating: Within the facility only Orientation: 1 day general, 1 day classroom/modules, then 3-day preceptorship Certifications Required: BLS (AHA) - Required ACLS (AHA) - Required PALS - Required NRP - Required CRT or RRT (NBRC) - Either accepted, RRT preferred Experience Requirements: Minimum 1 year of adult inpatient RT experience ICU and ER experience required Pediatric inpatient experience preferred (training available) Equipment Used: Vents: Puritan Bennett 840, Hamilton C1, Avea Bipap: v60 High Flow: Vapotherm Additional Info: Charting: Meditech Expanse Scrubs: Any professional color; professional appearance required Job ID About Genie Healthcare Genie Healthcare is one of the fastest growing Nurse Travel Agencies in the USA.
