Overview Blythedale Children's Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated team. This position involves evaluating and providing therapy for medically complex pediatric patients, from birth to 18 years old, with a wide range of diagnoses. The Speech Language Pathologist will develop and implement effective treatment plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and offer counseling to patients and families to support long-term outcomes. Responsibilities Evaluation and therapy for complex medical children, ages birth to 18 years old, with varied diagnoses. Develop and implement effective treatment programs. Provide counseling to patients and families regarding test results and establish treatment goals. Create accurate documentation and reporting for all patient visits in an electronic medical record system. Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings with medical staff and the child's educational team. Familiarity with a variety of speech, feeding, and cognitive disorders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Basic computer literacy. Ability to comply with all regulatory standards. Second language proficiency is desired. Highly flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of pediatric experience. Education, Licensure, and Certification Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology. Active state SLP license required. ASHA certification preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients safely, Ability to lift, pull, carry, bend, crouch, and balance patients from light to heavyweight.
