A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2025/2026 school year, providing essential support to elementary school students from preK through 5th grade. This position offers a contract role based in Leavenworth, KS, focused on delivering onsite services and prioritizing in-person collaboration with students and staff.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working with elementary-aged children (preK-5th grade)
- Ability to manage an approximate caseload of 30 students
- Experience supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and Clinical Fellows (CFYs)
- Familiarity with VOCO and Rumor Morton VBD tools is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language evaluations, therapy, and progress monitoring for elementary students
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student communication development
- Oversee and mentor SLPAs and CFYs, ensuring quality service delivery
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state policies
