Job Description
A full-time opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in a school setting near Oxnard, CA, for the 2023-24 school year. This role involves supporting middle and high school students with speech and language needs, providing both direct and indirect services five days a week throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assessments and design individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide speech and language therapy to middle and high school students
- Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation consistent with school standards
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active or pending state SLP license is required
- Experience in school-based settings and familiarity with IEP processes preferred but not mandatory
- Skills in pediatric and healthcare speech-language pathology, teletherapy, or clinical fellowship year (CFY) experience are valued
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with students, parents, and staff
