Job Description
A speech-language pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide onsite therapy services through the remainder of the current school year in Salinas, CA. This contract role offers the opportunity to work directly with students in a school setting and collaborate with an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support caseload demands.
Key qualifications and credentials include:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology certification (CCC, CFY, or School certification)
- Experience providing therapy in educational settings preferred
- Ability and commitment to deliver onsite services through the end of the school year
- Strong collaboration skills for working alongside support staff and educators
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and provide individualized therapy sessions onsite
- Collaborate with educational teams and support staff to address student communication needs
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Adapt therapy approaches to align with district goals and student requirements
Additional details:
- The position is contract-based with potential renewal for the 2024-2025 school year
- Remote therapy services are currently being phased out in favor of onsite treatment
