MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the general direction of the Director of Special Education, in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary school team assesses and reports on the educational needs of referred students that may include the areas of perceptual-motor skills, motor coordination, self-care, sensory development, muscle strength, range of motion, postural reflexes, and vocational skills that may impact educational progress. Provides consultation and/or direct services to eligible students with disabling conditions in grades TK through grade 8 and completes annual and triennial reviews of enrolled students with IEPs. Develops and provides direct intervention and/or consultation services for eligible students aimed at improving identified areas of needs as they relate to the students education as outlined in individual IEPs.

In collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, conducts annual and triennial reviews of enrolled students. Prepares for and participates in IEP meetings. Maintains accurate student records according to legal guidelines and local policies. Provides an instructional environment which stimulates learning and personal-social development. Maintains an inventory of appropriate instructional materials and equipment. Contacts and conferences with parents on a regular and as-needed basis. Acts as a consultant to students, parents, and school staff.Training and Experience: Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited university. Current American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) Registration. Previous experience in workingas a registered OT within the school setting preferred.
