We have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs, and we are hiring like-minded professionals to be part of our team.
Job Details:
Start: July 7, 2025
Monday-Friday
Age Group: 0-5 year olds
190 day contract
Location: Greater Salem, OR area
Pay dependent on experience but starting at $48/hr
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Physical Therapy
Valid OR State Licensure
Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs
Responsibilities:
As a Physical Therapist with Birch Agency, you will:
Screen and assess student's functional motor assessment
Establish student's ability to participate in school activities with or without assistance
Promote effective physical therapy care plan
Coordinate physical therapy interventions within school program
Participate in development of IEP
Provide therapy according to IEP
Adapt environments to facilitate student access and participation in educational setting
Consult with school personnel, parents and service agencies
Provide instruction to other caregivers regarding physical management of students such as safe lifting, positioning, gross motor programs, equipment use, etc.
Complete appropriate documentation according to the state guidelines.
