About the Role
As a valued Audiologist on our team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based diagnostic and rehabilitative services for both adult and pediatric patients. You will play a vital role in patient education, care planning, and ongoing support to improve hearing health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Review patient records prior to visits for relevant clinical updates, lab results, imaging, and other diagnostics
Perform audiological testing, including audiometry, impedance, and other diagnostic evaluations
Obtain necessary patient signatures for procedures and documentation (e.g., Hearing Aid Contracts, Loaner Agreements, Medicare/Medicaid Waivers, ABNs, and consent forms)
Dictate and send referral letters to medical providers regarding diagnostic results and patient progress
Evaluate, fit, dispense, and provide minor repairs and follow-up services for hearing aids and assistive listening devices
Provide patient counseling on all aspects of hearing and ear health, including tinnitus management, hearing loss, hearing protection, and cerumen (ear wax) management
Educate patients on hearing aid use, technologies, styles, and care-while discussing cost, benefits, and expectations
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
Enter appropriate CPT and diagnostic codes for billing and reporting within the EMR
Implement physician/provider orders and reinforce treatment plans
Deliver age-appropriate and developmentally sensitive care to patients of all ages
Aid in managing audiology supplies, equipment orders, and recommendations for new technology
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including ISDH, OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA, and HFAP
Stay current on healthcare trends and audiology best practices through ongoing professional development, CME, and internal training
Maintain timely communication by reading and responding to internal emails and participating in meetings
Qualifications:
Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master's Degree in Clinical Audiology
Licensure or eligibility through the Indiana Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
Experience is preferred but not required - new grads are encouraged to apply!
