POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Therapist level II provides full range of respiratory care to Neonatal and Pediatric patient populations as evidenced by the skill/competency assessment. Ensures the prompt and proficient provisions of respiratory related duties in accordance with physician directives. Complies with departmental and University Health's policies and procedures and maintains good public and working relations
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with a current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care and active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the Texas State Board of Health required. Two years or more experience in general and advanced Respiratory Care. Must be BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certified. Instructor certifications for BLS, PALS and NRP are acceptable in lieu of BLS, PALS and NRP.
