Position SummaryThis division is home to the following: Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
MCC instructors are higher education professionals who champion student learning. They engage and inspire students, applying innovative teaching and learning pedagogies to reach a variety of learners. They assess student learning to ensure student success, staying abreast of current and emerging trends in the discipline. Our instructors collaborate within the College as discipline experts, helping the College to reach its strategic goals through active participation in college committees and by promoting the College to future students throughout our community.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities Including but are not limited to:
- Teach courses as assigned by the College
- Available to teach daytime, evening, and weekend classes, as needed
- Available for student conferences either before or after class, and by College email or special appointment if necessary
- Participate with producing documentation relating to program accreditation standards to achieve and maintain accreditation
- Work cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellence
- Assess student learning and participate in assessment of the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program
- Maintain and submit accurate attendance records, along with course related data
- Work cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College in striving for educational excellence
- Course specific minimum qualifications are approved annually by the Board of Trustees and are available in all Academic Division Offices.
- Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.
- Commitment to the mission of the community college, and to teaching and motivating community college students in ways appropriate to their diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
