Lmft /Amft Mental Health Therapist

Stone Healing, a six-bed adult residential mental health treatment facility located in Ventura, CA, is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) for a part-time clinical role. This therapist will provide individual, family, and group therapy services, contribute to clinical documentation and treatment planning, and participate in interdisciplinary care coordination. Ideal candidates will have completed at least 800 BBS-countable clinical hours and be passionate about trauma-informed, residential-level mental health care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide weekly individual therapy to assigned residents.
Facilitate family therapy sessions (in-person or telehealth) as clinically appropriate.
Lead group therapy sessions focused on psychoeducation, skill-building, or process work.
Complete and update treatment plans, progress notes, and clinical documentation promptly.
Attend clinical meetings and contribute to case reviews and treatment team planning.
Participate in weekly supervision if unlicensed (AMFT).
Maintain compliance with BBS, HIPAA, and facility standards.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling Psychology, or related field.
Current registration as an AMFT or licensure as an LMFT with the California BBS.
Completion of at least 800 clinical hours toward BBS licensure.
Experience working with adults with severe mental illness, mood disorders, trauma, and/or co-occurring conditions.
Strong clinical documentation and assessment skills.
Commitment to trauma-informed, client-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a residential or intensive treatment setting.
Training in DBT
Experience using KIPU EMR or similar electronic health record systems.
Schedule & Compensation
Part-time hours; flexible scheduling may be available.
Competitive hourly rate, based on experience.
Weekly clinical supervision provided for AMFTs.
