Provide occupational therapy services to elementary students (K5) in a supportive school setting during an Extended School Year (ESY) contract. This two-week position is located in Roseville, MN, offering approximately 22 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver compensatory occupational therapy sessions to a caseload of up to 14 students, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living.
- Assess student needs through formal and informal evaluations to create targeted intervention plans.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to develop and adjust student goals.
- Conduct individual and small group therapy sessions tailored to student needs.
- Document student progress accurately and communicate outcomes.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other school staff to facilitate student success within the classroom environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Occupational Therapy (OT) license is required.
- Experience in pediatrics, particularly within elementary school settings, with a strong understanding of school-based OT interventions.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate services effectively.
- Strong communication skills to engage with students, families, and school personnel.
