Occupational Therapist Opportunity Help Utica Students Thrive in School

Utica Community Schools is hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapy services that help students develop the motor and adaptive skills they need for classroom success. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact as part of a collaborative student services team.

Position Overview:
As an OT, you will assess student needs, develop intervention plans, and deliver therapy designed to promote independence and participation in school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete occupational therapy evaluations and prepare reports

• Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

• Address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living tasks

• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school staff to support student progress

• Participate in IEP meetings and provide data-driven recommendations

• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with district and state standards

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Occupational Therapy

• Active Michigan Occupational Therapy License

• Michigan Department of Education Approval/Certification for school practice

• Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Job Details:

• Type: Full-time, onsite

• Schedule: MondayFriday during school hours

• Caseload: K12 students (assignments determined by district)
