A K-12 educational setting in the Canton, Michigan area is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support students ages 4 to 18. This contract role spans the full school year and offers the opportunity to work part-time within a dynamic school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students, addressing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to create individualized intervention plans
- Utilize the EdPlan system for documentation, progress monitoring, and communication
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each students needs
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based therapy
- Familiarity with the EdPlan system or willingness to learn
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills suitable for working with students, families, and educators
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs
